Pileus/ Cudo (nalbinding cap)

Nalbinding Wool Cap
The pileus (also referred to as cudo in later or regional terminology) is a simple, close-fitting wool cap known from the ancient and early medieval world. Practical in form and highly effective, such caps were worn to protect the head from cold, wind, and moisture, especially in northern and colder regions.
This reconstruction is made entirely by hand using the nalbinding technique, an ancient method of textile construction worked with a single needle, producing a dense, durable, and insulating fabric.
