Who we are?
We are independent company specializing in production of replicas of ancient weapons, armour, clothing and daily life objects for reenactors, collectors, museums and film industry.
Our Story
FABRICA CACTI is more than a workshop. It is a living project built by craftsmen, reenactors, and scholars based in Lublin, Poland.
For over two decades, we have been actively involved in historical reenactment, experimental archaeology, and educational work across Europe. Our close cooperation with universities, museums, and research institutions shapes the way we approach our craft. We do not reproduce history superficially. We study it, test it, and live it.
Every product we create grows from a combination of meticulous research and practical field experience. We design equipment that is historically grounded, structurally reliable, and comfortable in real use – whether on the battlefield of a reenactment event, in a museum exhibition, or on a film set.
We believe that authenticity should be accessible. Our goal is to provide products that meet high historical standards while remaining practical and attainable for both seasoned reenactors and those just beginning their journey into the ancient world.
Most importantly, everything we offer is made here, in Poland, by our own hands.
Meet the Team
The heart of FABRICA CACTI is Łukasz, the founder. He runs the shoemaking and leatherworking workshop and oversees the historical direction of the projects. With more than 20 years of reenactment experience, he bridges research with practice on a daily basis.
His right-hand man is Adrian, who specializes in armory and blacksmithing. From helmets to complex armor constructions, his work combines technical precision with traditional metalworking skill.
Aleksandra is responsible for textile production and customer relations. She brings together historical knowledge, tailoring expertise, and thoughtful communication with clients, ensuring that each garment is both accurate and functional.
Wojciech handles woodworking, shaping shields, structural components, and larger wooden constructions with patience and care.
Zofia – with remarkable attention to detail – paints our shields. Each piece she finishes carries not only historical motifs, but also a personal touch that reflects the family spirit behind our workshop.
Because FABRICA CACTI is, in many ways, a family endeavor. Our work is supported by the patience and understanding of our loved ones, who accept that this passion is not just a job, but a way of life.
Our Collaborations
We are proud to collaborate with skilled craftsmen from Poland and abroad. Whenever a project requires specialized expertise, we work with trusted partners who share our standards of quality and historical integrity.
Through these collaborations, we are able to complete complex commissions while maintaining full control over research, design, and final quality.
At the same time, we are not only manufacturers. Together with Hellas et Roma and Legio XXI Rapax, we actively shape and animate the world of ancient reenactment in Poland and across Europe. Our products are tested in real conditions – worn, used, and refined through experience.
For us, craftsmanship, research, and living history are inseparable.
And that is the story behind every piece we create.
