You have arrived at a place that is more than just an online store. Fabrica Cacti is not a warehouse. It is not a reseller platform. It is a living workshop.
For over 15 years, we have been creating historically grounded, made-to-order equipment inspired by the ancient world. Everything you see here is the result of real craftsmanship carried out in our workshop in Poland.
What truly sets us apart from many places offering reenactment gear is simple – we actually make what we sell.
We are a small artisan team. We do not import finished products. We do not rebrand mass production. We build, sew, shape, hammer, and paint here, on site. In Poland. By hand.
Fabrica Cacti is built by friends and supported by our families. It is a personal project as much as it is a professional one. When you order a shield from us, there is a good chance it will be painted by my mother. And she paints every single one with the same care as if it were meant for someone from our own circle.
Because in many ways – it is.
Why You Won’t Find a Warehouse Here
We do not maintain large stock availability. Not because we do not want to, but because we choose to remain a true workshop.
Everything we produce is handcrafted with attention to materials, construction, and historical accuracy. That takes time. Sometimes it means waiting.
But we believe it is worth it.
We create items the way we would want to receive them ourselves – carefully made, structurally sound, and historically informed.
You are not placing an order with an anonymous system. When you contact us, you are speaking directly with the artisans who will make your equipment.
Our Philosophy
We offer only products we truly stand behind.
If something in our catalog is not made directly in our workshop, it is clearly stated. Transparency matters to us.
Our work grows out of long-term experience in experimental archaeology and reenactment. We are not only manufacturers – we actively animate and shape the world of ancient reenactment in Poland and across Europe together with Hellas et Roma and Legio XXI Rapax.
We test what we build.
We wear what we make.
We stand in the field with it.
That perspective influences everything.
How It Works
Our catalog presents detailed descriptions and photo galleries so you can explore each piece carefully.
Ordering works much like in a traditional online store. After receiving your order, we personally contact you to discuss measurements, details, materials, and expectations. Many of our products are custom-fitted and require collaboration.
This is not mass retail. It is a conversation.
Ready-to-Ship Items
While we cannot yet maintain full stock availability, we are gradually working toward expanding ready-to-ship options.
Smaller items – belts, leather straps, bags, pouches, selected armor components – may occasionally be available immediately. It is always worth checking back.

Fabrica Cacti is part of a wider movement.
Together with Hellas et Roma and Legio XXI Rapax, we are deeply involved in reenactment, education, and historical interpretation. We do not simply produce objects – we help build living history.
